A pair of Finn Juhl 138 armchairs made by France and Son in Denmark during the 1950's newly upholstered in a beige bouclé fabric by de ploeg. The clean curved lines of these beautiful armchairs are the embodiment of Scandinavian modernism demonstrating understated sophistication and the elegance of simplicity. Each backrest is supported by two stainless steel pivot joints only, a novel mechanism for the 1950's. These lounge chairs strikingly showcase Juhl's excellence in composition, material use and intricate detailing.
